To create surface

Step 1

To create surface, first you need to deselect the selection.

Top view

Step 2

Press q key to bring out the Change Surface panel, name the object as lines and press OK.

Step 3

Then, select the polygons as below.

Step 4

After that, you need to name the polygon as lines_grey.

Step 5

Then select the top part of the object.

Step 6

Name it as lines_black.

Step 7

Select the top part of the object in first layer in polygon selection mode. Bring out the Change Surface panel ( q ) and name it as top.

Step 8

Select the polygons as below and name it as top_side.

Step 9

After that, select polygons as below and name it as side.

Step 10

Then, select the polygons as below and name it as side_surface.
